Robert Lype

My photographic Journey started over 40 years when I purchased a camera while stationed here in Alaska slowly found out that my natural instincts where well suited for photography.
Over the course of my photographic career my skills were employed in retail setting in the one hour photo field as a technical service manager as well as other retail and photo lab environments. Finding myself doing stringer work for local periodicals working my way up the ladder to the national level which was an struggle since I had no real formal education in the photography.
Today you'll find me involved in documentary work and stock photography along with sharing my expirence as a photo guide in the tourist industry.
Being a photojournalist during the film era learned the skills of getting it right in the camera which has served me well in the digital world where speed counts.
