Wrightsville Beach Pier

18mm · f/14.0 · 5s · ISO 100

I spent a week on vacation in Wrightsville Beach, NC and made it a point to get up every morning to watch the sun peek up over the ocean. When I look at this photo, I can hear the hum of the waves crashing. I can literally feel the breeze wrapping around my body like a warm blanket beneath the rising sun.

I'm a new photographer, but I always make it a point to take my new DSLR with me everywhere I go in fear that I'll miss the opportunity to capture something like this...

Adam, thank you for bringing your DSLR with you. Great capture. Looks like the pier is fairly new, not much weathering there.
