shot on the 15th of March of 2020. This is a portrait of an indigenous Matsigenka girl. The red paint all over her is a local tradition to help prevent the tribes from diseases.
The butterfly went into the frame after I had selected my composition. Butterflies for the matsigenkas represent change and evolution.
