The ability to accent and dramatize the structure of treescapes was one of things that initially fascinated me about infrared black and white photography. In regular light, a scene like this one is just mundane greenery mooshed together into a nondescript wall whose details don't stand out. In infrared, they do stand out, often in dramatic fashion.
