I've been waiting 5 years for this shot. Since I first stayed in an Airbnb in Alfama, I have fallen in love with this view. But ever since, there has been some construction site in the way.
On Friday morning, I went for a sunrise walk to the city and noticed that the construction sites finally cleared. Maybe you've seen my story. But unfortunately, the cloud cover was too thick.
Yesterday evening my phone notified me that the sunrise has a 60% chance of being decent. So I woke up today at 5:30 and tried my luck once again.
Oh boy, what a sunrise, indeed. 😱 I couldn't be happier!
Sometimes it's worth coming back to the same spot, don't you think?
