9 JAW DROPPING PHOTO MANIPULATIONSHere is a series of images by German artist Thorsten Schmidtkord that will leave you staring speechlessly and with mixed emotions. Sure, we've all done it before. Taken a photo, pushed, pulled, twisted and flipped facial features to create freakishly surreal versions of ourselves, friend and family. Still, I couldn't help but be captivated by the striking oddity of Thorsten's work. I'm not sure I'm doing you a favor by telling you this but when you check out these striking photos, click, to view them large.
FIVE PHOTO PRANKIf you saw our posts on, The Invisible Camera, then you know we here at Fstoppers can't resist a good joke any more than we can a good debate. So here are, "The Top 5 April Fools' Day photo pranks", as posted by ZDNet. Our favorite, being the RE-35, a cartridge that would allow you to use your old 35mm film cameras as a digital. Wouldn't you love for this to be real?
ILLEGAL FARM PHOTOGRAPHY?Photo District News (PDN) reports on a proposed law that would make it illegal to take or even possess, photos, video and/or audio of factory farming operations (without prior written consent from the farmer), punishable by $7,500 and 5 years in prison. What is it they don't want the world to see? And sadly, no, this one is not an April Fools joke.
A RARE, LIVE LOOK INTO AN EAGLE'S NESTNews channel WVEC has a live feed of, now get this, a bald eagles's nest in the wild. The camera tends to be down at night but during the day you can have the pleasure of viewing the life and times of two parent eagles and their young. Now that is the kind of reality TV I can get behind.
PHOTOSHOP DISASTERS, SITE BARES ALLThis week Lee found a ridiculously entertaining site that features Photoshopped images that have gone awry. It can be surprising to see how unrealistic the advertising industry can be, especially when it comes to the female form. The next time you are looking at a Victoria's Secret model and asking yourself, "Why can't I have a body like that?" or "Why can't I find a girl like that?", you'll know it's because God doesn't have Photoshop. But the real question though is, given this picture, what was Lee doing looking at her shoulders?
