I'm honestly really surprised how long it took to get rumors for this camera. Usually some site has a well-placed source that lets all of us gear heads in on the secret well before launch. With the Canon EOS M (their mirrorless), we didn't get much of anything till a few days ago, and Canon Rumors just posted specs today.
Beyond the camera, the system will launch with 2 lenses, the EF-M 22 f/2 STM and the EF-M 18-55 IS. It will also launch with a new flash, the EX 90.

This camera is tiny! I can't wait to test it out myself, but I can tell you I wish I had this camera yesterday while out wine tasting. I didn't want to lug my DSLR around (like so many others I saw), and I'm also not too fond of just shooting with my phone. Most of my camera bags aren’t too large, like my Lowepro Fastpack 250, but can still get rather heavy if I pack it full of the gear I need. I’m excited that I can use my smallest bag, the Messenger 100, and still have a ton of room to spare in it for all the lenses, flashes, memory cards, and Cliff bars I would need for a day trip. So yes, to say I am excited about this camera is an understatement.
So let's make a wager... how many of the specs above do you think will actually come to pass when the camera officially is announced tomorrow? Canon Rumors is usually pretty right...

I don't know about the specs above I am a Nikon person and have never paid attention to Canon but if this is the case I might have to purchase this guy. Can't wait to see.
"Adaptor at launch for EF lenses" - I'll mount my 85L on it! Haha!
@twitter-197341884:disqus - in this case, I think you'll mount the camera to your 85L ;)
Cost anyone?
Handheld twilight, multi-shot noise reduction, HDR, touch screen, video servo AF ... Sony NEX anyone? ;-)
Why not the 70-200 2.8L II ? That lens even makes my 5D II look small. LOL
Actually I'm very glad that they are a late comer in this field. It looks like they are taking a lot of the better features from other brands to design this one. ( APS-C sensor, touch screen, EF lens mount, new flash, good ISO range) And for me it's just in time. I've been wanting a smaller camera for vacations and it looks like this one might be it. I can have some heavier lenses packed along in case I want to go out and get all picky ( like I usually do ), while having a small camera with a zoom. I just hope the zoom is semi fast.
No viewfinder!!!!!!
Hm yeah a viewfiender would be kinda nice but with a camera that small I'm already used to the point and shoot stance anyway so I don't mind. Plus I would guess there'll be an EVF available to attach to the hotshoe? I would like to see a built in flash though. They are handy on contrasty days. But I LOVE the little grippy bit on the front of the cam! A+ feature! lol
Slightly disappointed they didn't go for better styling like the Fuji.
so logical, touch screen focus.
even beter to have an screen loose from camera to focus
so you have no fibration... but thats science fiction
i was really hoping for articulated screen :( but yess i know thats asking for too much
iphone tether?
