Quick Tips for Better Posing

When working with models or people without posing experience, a bad pose can ruin your shot regardless of how everything else comes together. You can have the best location, best lighting, and the best gear but it all comes down to your subject's talent and ability to pose. Here's a number of tips that you can use to help your subject achieve better results in front of the camera.

Photographer Brett Seeley teams up with model Annie Parker to share and demonstrate several tips on how you can couch and direct your subject to improve their stance and poses in front of the camera. Spoiler, there are 10 tips in the video even though the title has only 5. Within these 10 tips, Seeley and Parker go over your whole body, from your eyes to your hands and knuckles all the way down to your toes for a complete body coaching session.  Regardless of your subjects posing experience, these tips should help boost both you and your subject's confidences for a better photo shoot and help you create some amazing images.

Out of all these great tips, which tip stood out to you the most? Which tip was your favorite? What's another great tip you have that wasn't mentioned in the video that you would like to share? Leave your answers in the comment below!
