60km/h winds (gust above 30kts), talk about challenging conditions for this long exposure shot.
101 seconds, I thought would be impossible with such winds, salty ocean spray, soft terrain...but thanks to the amazing Really Right Stuff tripod, equipped with the optional metal spikes and having my heavy camera gear (for once I am happy I carry so much stuff around) suspended to the center hook with a tension chord, I got the shot I was hoping for, to my surprise.
This lighthouse is already really cool to look at on a regular day but with such a big storm it was even better, watching the huge waves hammering away.
