Maine Beer Spill

An conceptual image a shot a little while back. Portland Maine has become more and more noted for the impressive array of beers coming out of the relatively small area. I wanted to shoot an image that spoke to the idea of Maine beer and Maine being IN the beer, in the bottle. Decided to use an Allagash Brewing bottle as it's not only one of the better known Maine Breweries but even though it's been around for a quarter century is still on the cutting edge of pushing beer styles.
Shot with one soft box camera right. The beer was poured onto a white plate and moved around in the image to get the angle correct and make it easier to blend into the table. Lots of trial and error on which layer style edge configuration was right, and some added details outside of the State of Maine outline I used to keep the outline obvious but less rigid.
