Ocean's Blue was shot at the Wedge in Newport Beach CA. This is one of my favorite places to shoot because of the dramatic way that the waves break. This is a really shallow break that is known for its powerful waves. Every year there is lots of carnage from the many beach goers that under estimate the potential danger. This was shot with the Canon 5Dsr 50 megapixel camera. This camera is amazing.

Magnificent! Great action in a still...
Thanks Michael. Mahalo
So were you in the water for this shot or on a jetty? I think even the water boy would approve of this water, so crystal clear looks delicious!
Thanks Jeremiah. I was shooting from the jetty with a Sigma 300-800mm. I am usually in the water, but had a specific look I was going for. Stood there in 100 degree weather for 8 hours. LOL Well worth the effort though. Mahalo
Very nice work. That place is crazy when it's firing off!
Great shot! That shape is Wedge all day long, no mistaking that. I broke a collar bone at the break; I wish I had known about photography back then. haha, joking aside, you did the break justice in this one.
anazing shot bro..
