I love being challenged to make a boring location look amazing on camera. I was shooting Blake Moller at Windell's Skatepark in Oregon. Blake is an aspiring Olympic halfpipe snowboarder but skateboards any chance he can. I used 2 different speedlights for this shot. One flash was directly in front of blake and the other was just off screen on the left. One part of this photo I really like is you can see the ambient light on the far left side of the picture and see it transition into to a brighter photo because of the flashes. I used about 3 different angles before finding this one. I was intentionally putting blake off to the right and using the object in the foreground to create a bit more dimension to the photo.
