The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows defines ballagarraidh as "the awareness that you are not at home in the wilderness." In this series, depicting a cold, rainy tundra I attempt to depict an uneasiness. The figures within are not adept to this place, and most likely never will be.
In this particular image is an HO scale (2 cm tall) astronaut facing the camera. The background is glitter scrapbook paper, the landscape is crunchy glitter slime, the foreground is textured transparency film and the rain effect was created using a spray bottle.
