A part of a large ongoing series called 'Monachopis.' Within this series I use 1:18 scale figures posed in a post-apocalyptic environment. Here a man in gas mask and gilley suit holds the hand of a small girl in foggy desert-scape.
The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows defines monochopis as "the subtle but persistent feeling of being out of place." In this series I seek to explore how it may feel to be in this environment day after day, out of place, with no real place of refuge.
