This is a photograph from a series of studio headshots I captured for a girl named Natalie - it is also a photo from the first photo shoot I've ever done!
I like her facial expression - it feels hopeful? I achieved this expression simply by asking her to look up at a mark in the ceiling.
Natalie was lit by standard 3-point lighting to soften the shadows around her features and two bright redhead lights behind her to create a strong rim light.
I used my trusty Canon 60D.
85mm 1.8 lens.
at f-stop 2.8
160 ISO
1/60 shutter
As I'm just starting out in photography (although I have been using a DSLR for video for 5 years) any feedback would be massively appreciated!
