The Ronnie Wald Story

Story: Driving and I see a guy in an old dirt field with a fence around it on the outskirts of downtown LA. What I noticed was the guy was playing golf in the middle of a dirt field. So I started taking pictures, then he spotted me, and asked me if I would interview him. He's 82 years old and his name is Ronnie Wald Sr. He lived in the streets for 25 years and was addicted to drugs then last year moved to the Salvation Army in Bell. He rides his bicycle every day up the LA River to this abandoned dirt lot. He says he's entering a golf tournament in Birmingham Alabama in October and plans on getting a gold medal. He was vibrant and fully lucid. I wish Ronnie the best of luck and has my admiration and respect ✊🏼
