After the Storm at El Matador

I've always been told the best time to go out and shoot landscape is immediately following the rain, so that's exactly what I did. After the storms that ravaged through Southern California had finally abated, I grabbed my gear and headed down to El Matador Beach in Malibu. I admit finding a composition was a challenge as the beach was littered with more rocks than I'd remembered from previous trips. Although I was disappointed at first, I decided to use my dismay to my advantage – I though, why not use ALL the rocks with the receding surf? This was the result.
