Close up of a Phidippus Audax jumping spider. Initially I struggled to find a suitable background for this beautiful creature but experimented enough until I got something I was happy with . This spider was photographed on the rear cap of my other macro lens and the background is an out of focus styrofoam scull covered in a broken up reflective surface similar to a shattered mirror . After the photo shoot the spider was released back into the wild unharmed and ready to catch its next meal .
