Four Corners

On the way back from California we found ourselves driving through a pitch black road. I knew it was milky way season so I peeked my head out the window and sure enough I was able to see the milky way with my bare eyes. I asked Daniel to stop at the next intersection to take pictures. We got out, admired the beauty of the milky way and surrounding stars, and began looking around for spot to set up my camera. That's when we saw the giant sign that said, "Welcome to the World Famous Four Corners Monument." Unbeknownst to us we had stopped at the only place in the U.S. where four state lines intersect and you can stand in four states at the same time. It was a pleasant surprise to say the least.
