Ciroc Red Berry

This shot began with one glass, and some very ugly raspberries. I took a few hours away from the set and eventually tore it down. I was looking to build a set based on the table top which is a simple plastic UV light cover you find hanging in your basement or office with the ceiling tiles. The texture I thought was so cool and reminded me of an outdoor table my mom and dad had when I was a kid. The next day I started at the set build again and this was the outcome - fresh strawberries and rosemary. A very simple lighting set up. One PCB Einstein with a 7" reflector through a frosted shower curtain, and a beauty dish above with a 30 degree grid and a Roscoe diffusion circular polarizer. My lens, the Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro was equipped with the Lee Big Stopper linear polarizer to assist in reducing glare.
