I had looked forward to seeing this place in person, finally. Although the Alpe di Siusi area sure is a touristic area with restaurants and stores at the entrance where the parking lot is, it offers wide fields and valleys with gorgeous views and plenty of room without any other people in its 52 squarekilometer reach. It is a drop-dead gorgeous place, indeed.
This image was taken at sunrise. The sun slowly crawled up the horizon and threw warm light at Langkofel mountain. The mist and fog were very welcome to give a very moody feel to the already gorgeous valleys, isolated trees and small huts.
