This shot has been taken on my hike to the fjord destination Kjeragbolten in the Lysefjord in Rogaland near Stavanger, Norway.
Making it to the top of this mountain plateau was definitely not easy. I waited for a time window to be able to hopefully capture a stunning sunset image.
So I was waiting for a weather forecast for a mix of sun and clouds in the evening, but unfortunately it was more clouds than sun. Soon after this image had been taken, it started to rain. So my shoot did not work out as planned, but anyway. Why should landscape photography only document beautiful weather?
Those cloud patterns look definitely less common.
It's getting dark in the fjords.
