Track Ready

A recent shoot for a friend of his R1 Track bike. The shoot took place in a very bland and cluttered panel shop. It didn't really have any great looking backgrounds for photos but this window and the light coming through it caught my eye. There was probably only 1hr of light left and the outside ray of light was moving fast so i wanted to act quick.

I hastily set up 2 of my 10 year old Elinchrom D-Lite (with the small kit softboxes) and had my friend position the bike while i plugged it all in. I thought a bit of mist or smoke would make the shot more dramatic, problem is i had no way to create it. We found a vacuum cleaner and the filter was dusty, so i used the workshop air-gun to spray it all over the bike then ran back to my camera and snapped a few frames.
What you see here is the end result with a bit of tweaking in lightroom and colour temp adjustment.
