I've been after this image for a few months now, returning several times for sunrise and sunset (seen in one of my previous posts), and it finally came together this past Wednesday evening. After much-needed rain on Tuesday, the waterfalls in the area were flowing once again, so I decided to give it another try. With mostly cloudy skies on the drive up, I knew that it could very well be a bust, but there's usually a fine line between the right amount of cloud cover and the light being entirely snuffed out. You hope that there's a break on the horizon for the sun to peek through just before it sets, and on this day that's exactly what happened.
