Solitude

Decided to venture out to Pukerua Bay, hoping for some dramatic clouds and colour in the sky, but as usual the action was behind me. As the sun rose the sky behind me lit up a brilliant red and orange but my compostion was facing the other way. So finally I heeded the landscape photography motto 'patience' and waited, I enjoyed the the peace and solitude reflecting on the wonderful creator of this world. Then some colour started to emerge in the sky in front of me and I took the shot. Not as dramatic as the full blown sunrise behind me but I think I prefer this softer light. It's also easier to exposure for :)
