Olympic Waters

From one of Washington’s National Parks to another, this 30 mile backpacking trip far and away exceeded my expectations. I sat here riverside in between exposures and swapping filters imagining what this canyon looked like with gentle morning light and not this hard afternoon light. That is the difficulty of traveling long distances up a beautiful valley like this, around every corner there is a photograph to be taken in which ideal light is found early or late in the day, often time not while your traveling through. I guess this is the struggle for all photographers and I’ll just add this place to my hit list.
