Ireland is experiencing an annual phenomenon known as "leaving cert weather". The "leaving cert" is Ireland's main set of exams taken by secondary (high school) final year students. This set of exams in equivalent to America's SATs or the UKs GCSEs.
Every year without fail as the students begin the two weeks of exams, the country experiences the best weather of the year. Missing out on this weather due to studying is a right of passage in Ireland. The rest of us however indulge in sun, ice cream and for some. . . photography.
To showcase this weather I went to the North Pier of Dun Laoghaire Harbor as it is the quieter of the two piers and by shooting down the pier, I could get the subtle Dun Laoghaire skyline in frame.
