Illumination

I went out for a bit of night shooting and was walking past the Irish Hunger Memorial. The memorial is dedicated to raising awareness of the Great Irish Famine in the mid-1800's. On top it is landscaped to look like a piece of Ireland with stones, grass, flowers and even dirt taken directly from Ireland. It's a very cool place to visit. The path within the memorial ends at a lookout over the Hudson River, so it gives you a bit of a unique view from that vantage point.

On the underside of the memorial are these light bars that wrap around 3 of the sides and this is what you see here. It really makes for a striking scene at night as these lights are like a beacon in the area.

So day or night, you are being treated to a great view.
