I had previously shot Lex (the wakeboarder) last October and it was freezing so it turned into more of a fashion shoot. We wanted to get back together to shoot some lifestyle type stuff and be a little more wakeboard specific so we got together on a glorious Summer's evening and shot some light airy lifestyle photos when suddenly this black cloud came out of nowhere and darkened everything. Most of my work is dark and moody so I had to take the opportunity to make a dark and moody portrait so I controlled the ambient to make it dark then brought her back with an elinchrom ranger quadra in a 70cm deep octa. I love how it turned out!
