I had the opportunity to work with Alessandro, for taking portraits to promote his work as a personal chef. The idea, in addition to the usual "professional" images, was to create something more personal, something from which came out his character, his humor, that special thing that he transmits it to his recipes.
So the idea was to capture his reaction when in the kitchen everything goes wrong.
This is one of the images made: my intention was to photograph the moment in which a chef realizes that everything is to be redone from the beginning.
I used speedlights: a softbox on the left, one was inserted into the wok with an orange gel, and one for the background with a grid.
I used a nikon d610 with a 50mm f1.8
