I photograph fighter jets. I took this shot earlier this year in the UK.
This is a United States Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle. It is travelling at around 400-420 mph and is about 250 foot from either the ground or the mountainside.
The trails of vapour from the wingtips are real, This was taken from a hillside using a 500mm F4 and Nikon D850, handheld of course.
To get this shot I drove around 600+ miles during an 18 hour mission. I climbed two steep hillsides in intense heat before getting this shot after waiting around for hours.
