Self portrait on the Oregon Coast. Being alone in nature is where I feel most at peace. The mild temperature and conditions of coastal Oregon on a mid April day brought me a feeling of serenity that's difficult for me to find in my normal every day life and career, being a touring crew guy for a metal band constantly surrounded by people with no chance for privacy for weeks at a time. I just wanted to capture myself in a calm state, out doing what I enjoy doing.

Nicely done, love the processing.

Thank you!

I like the soft effect you have, good subject separation!

Thanks Dillon! I wanted to draw the focus to myself in this shot, so I opted for the 1.4 aperture to give the soft effect on the rest of the frame for myself to stand out more. Now, using a manual focus lens for a shot with a camera that doesn't have wi-fi and me leaving my remote shutter in the car......now that was the hard part lol
