Pont d'Arc (France)

In south of France exists the tallest natural arch crossed by a river (Ardèche river).
This 80m high natural bridge has been existing for 200.000 years at least. Most of all, during prehistoric periods, palaeolithic men used this monumental object to signal a sacred place. Around the bridge, about 30 caves have been painting, notably the most famous one : Chauvet cave.
