The Ice Bear

Nanuk (polar bear in Inuktitut) is regarded as the master of all bears in Inuit legend. They themselves decide if hunters are deserving of hunting down their kind. I was watching this lazy bear in the Eskimo Dog Sanctuary in Churchill, MB when it slowly looked up and turned his eyes towards me. I felt his stare pierce through my soul.
