Toronto Skyline

The view of downtown Toronto at night across Lake Ontario from Center Island is a view I will never get tired of.

The multi hued colors of the CN tower (the tallest building in this picture) are so beautiful, you will always get a very good picture even when its cloudy and dark in the sky. This was shot about an hour after sunset.

The night I shot this from across Lake Ontario (on Center Island), there wasn't even a small part of the sky that was visible through the heavy clouds, however simply because I used a very long exposure (59 seconds), I was able to capture some light in the sky and the clouds became streaked and very smooth - making this shot look like a painting.

The lake itself in the foreground also looked amazing in the long exposure shot as the effect calmed the light reflections from the buildings and made them more visible in the water.

The streak of trailing light you see across the buildings was a boat that was coming from Toronto to the Island and even though I didn't plan to shoot the trailing light, I couldn't help but be amazed at how great the effect turned out.
