The Klomnock

Based in Carinthia, the southern part of Austria, it is a well known mountain in the Nockberge-mountain range. In summer it's a hiking destination, in winter a ski resort. The day I hiked up the Falkert, which is the mountain from where I took the photo, I got these beautiful sunrays which lit up the mountain. It was quite cloudy, so, there wasn't really a sunset, just a last sunbeam coming through in red light - which looked amazing by the way. Some of the other pictures of that day you can see on my Website,

I have also hike a lot there in the 1990s. With this picture you bring good memories to life and you have managed to capture a very good mood in it. There is also a lot of details to look at in your photograph, therefore I gave "excellent" to your pic.

Thank you - I very much appreciate it! I guess this is my favorite photo of this location for the moment, though I still have some more - you can take a look at them on my website - category: Austria -> Carinthia. I'm glad you liked it!
