Chukwuemeka "Mex" Iweze's picture

Kwéyòl Queen

This photo was inspired by a picture I saw of the bust of Nefertiti. I tried to give it a Creole/Caribbean twist.

Key light was a strobe in a 7" reflector bowl with a grid and diffusion on it. Rim light was a speedlight in a small flashbender, with the diffusion panel, shaped to minimize spill. Backdrop was a wooden door.

Your posing is perfect. I'd recommend dodging the highlight on the lower back of her hair, otherwise the lighting is perfect too. Well done! Gorgeous model as well.

Love this photo. She looks beautiful and love how her body skin tone matches her face. Sometimes make-up stands out but not in this photo, so that is awesome.
I love how she could look current or costume or classic Creole from 1800s 1900s, timeless.
My one beef is that she looks like she only has four fingers. It is one of those things to look out for next time.

Thanks for the feedback
