Isla de Coiba

The year is 2009 and as I finish up a clients new website he asks me, "Would you like to come down to Panama and film my deep sea fishing resort?"

No, nope, not going to do it. < Not what I really said. Yes! Of course. So, I ran out and immediately upgraded my camera equipment to my Nikon D90 for the trip. Funny tangent... I first got a Canon only to get it home and realize it didn't capture video. That's right. No video that year on Canon DSLR's yet.

We had an epic time. Buy me a beer and I'll tell you about it some time. Related but not the fun part of the story is that a year later I accidently pulled a cable on the back of my computer which was connected to my external hard drive bringing it crashing down to my desktop. $2K and a trip to the clean room in another state I was able to restore 85% of the drive. Of hundreds of photos from my trip only about 20 survived and this is one of them.

Today I run cloud backups as well as multiple redundant external and internal hard drives.
