I never thought I'd get to capture this classic scene, an iconic Eastern Sierra moment, but a chance came to me in the summer of 2018.
I pride myself in thoroughly planning every moonrise and moonset image I make, however, this morning was different. I'd hoped to be on the road home well before sunrise, but a last-minute recalculation of my drive time told me I could afford just one more hour. So, I captured this truly serendipitous moment in the final seconds before departing homeward.
