I wanted to show the transition between the phases and rest and flight, so I combined two sequential images, one taken shortly after the other.
I used a hide and fixed the camera in place with a tripod to ensure the images stayed in sequence and fixed on the same focal pane.
I am not a not a fan of manipulating wildlife images, but I'm quite pleased with how this turned out.
