I think people try too hard sometimes to get the "perfect" shot. I also think that a highly manipulated photo is not necessarily a good photo. This is an example of a straightforward photograph that is not a perfect shot... but it doesn't have to be perfect, to be great. This photo could sell a watch, a sweater, beard trimmer, or hair product. It could be a portrait of a successful man who is confident of himself. One might be able to criticize this or that in the photo but it would not improve the photo's feel or message. This is a great photo. (when I used Nikon equipment the 85mm f/1.8 was my all time favorite lens)
