Red Flash

Lightning storm over the Mediterranean in Southern France. I didn't have my tripod on me, so this (and the other shots from that night) were taken by just setting my camera down on the city wall of Antibes, France. The wind was howling and waves were thrashing against the walls, spraying mist up into the sky. I stayed out and continued shooting for at least an hour, trying to get the perfect shot, until it started raining hard.
