The Music that Surrounds Us

For pianist Morgan-Paige's next album cover, we want her literally within the music. An upright grand piano is destroyed using sledge hammers, saws, and wrenches. All pieces suspend (steel wire) from in front of the lens to behind the artist, who herself stands on the keyboard.

The goal is for the piano pieces to appear more "levitating" and less "fiery exploding". Think Magneto, not Firefist.

Six assistants, armed with six cans of fog (or "atmosphere aerosol", for you fancy folk), release a quick toot of smoke moments before the shutter goes off. Instant ambience!

Shot with 7 strobes on a Canon EOS 5DS R, at 50mm, f/5.6, 1/200s, and ISO 100.

Sorry for the long write up, eh.
