Cool temperatures, mist from the falls and the lushness of the vegetation create an ethereal atmosphere where the roar of the passing water is pierced by the deafening sense of peace and tranquility one can experience here.
Sol Duc Falls located in the Olympic National Forest on Washington State's Olympic Peninsula. Eons of erosion has created at this point a narrow chasm dropping ~35' With an average annual rainfall of 140" this area is on the edge of the Hoh rain forest.
