Japan has many islands and this was taken on Tanegashima Island. There was a very dramatic scene that day with two large rocks and clouds visible from the huge long sandy beach, illuminated by the moonlight of the full moon.
I used a low ISO and f2.8 to avoid noise. And focus stacking with three images. I also wanted to clarify the detail in the waves, so I set the foreground to 2 sec exposure and the rock detail was blended at 30 sec exposure.
