On a bitter day with a cutting wind, two desperates took station at the end of Rye Pier, ignoring the squall that was on the way. I wasn't there long enough to see if they hooked anything, but I doubt it. I thought only photographers were crazy enough to be out in weather like this. Even the birds were coming inland.
