The distortion of a super-wide angle lens is not suitable to this style of architecture. Also there is too much foreground. I suspect you used a 16mm lens. A tilt shift lens such as the Canon 24mm TS-E would have produced a better balanced, and less distorted shot. Sometimes, the parts are better than the whole. Still, a nice image.

Thanks for commenting Dror, I've only just caught up with this thread! I appreciate what you say and I would dearly love a tilt shift lens, but currently have a 17-40mm Canon lens. I couldn't get back any further and the client wanted the whole building in the picture and in 3/2 format. Personally, I prefer a more panoramic viewing cutting out some of the grass at the bottom.
