This shoot was a promotional shoot for RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Queen Utica. The garment was constructed from sleeping on the show for one of the show's fashion challenges.
The look was shot with natural light just as the sun was dipping behind clouds near the horizon, so there is directional light, but it was quite diffused.
We shot it in a park with just a clear sky and grass as the background, but once I got it onto the computer I really wanted to give it more drama and visual impact so I decided to do a composite for this one.
I replaced the background with an image of grass fading into fog and then placed a foggy tree trunk image and faded into the other image. Finally I painted in fog behind and in the foreground with a cloud photoshop brush to complete the illusion.
