It's been 2 years since I visited my beloved Donegal, so I was very excited to return to my favourite spots.
As usually in Donegal, weather was very challenging, with loads of rain, wind and temperature dropping to 0 degrees over night. My plan was to pitch the tent wherever I can and enjoy the beauty of nature but instead had to sleep in the car.
First place I visited was spectacular Glenlough Bay.
It's 3km cliff hike to get there, taking roughly 1h20min. After spending 4h driving I was happy to get tired. It was a bit difficult walk due to high wind. It was blowing 50km/h sometimes and I had to be very careful. Luckily the wind was from the Ocean side so staying away from the cliff edges was sufficient for my own safety.
I was here twice before but weather didn't really work for me. I got lucky this time with beautiful, dramatic light.
