Short-Eared Owl

I think this one was intrigued by the sound of the camera although the primary hunting area was on the other side of the road directly behind me.
The first time I had one fly by I messed up..wrong focus settings. Luckily I had this one check in just at dusk. It flew right over the car (most times when I am on a backroad, my default is to sit still in the car and wait for wildlife to come to me.)
For those who may be thinking it, the answer is no it was not baited.
